The Buddha Sanctuary is located in Broome , far north Western Australia offering daily yoga and a place for quiet reflection in our meditation garden. Built in 2003, the Buddha Sanctuary was created for the local community as a space for inner peace and stillness, through spiritual practice.
The Sanctuary is home to a 3-metre tall crystal Buddha Guan Yin statue which anchors loving energy, and harnesses unconditional love and compassion – qualities strongly connected to this deity.
The Sanctuary has become one of Broome's main yoga hubs and meeting points, where like minds and hearts come together to be still, be aware, let go and simply flow!
The Sanctuary is open to visitors daily (7am- 10am / 3pm- 6pm - closed Wednesday and Friday pm) offering yoga classes Monday to Saturday with highly experienced yoga instructors.
Buddha Supervisor is responsible for the general care of the Buddha Sanctuary.
Responsibilities for this position include: General caretaker duties including cleaning/cleansing/creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere Garden maintenance when required in-between landscaper visits. Watering indoor plants, keeping the sanctuary tidy Liaising closely with the Housekeeping department to ensure the property is well maintained Reporting maintenance to Contractors in a timely manner Supervising maintenance and distributing invoices Ensuring productivity and daily schedules are adhered to Coordinate and schedule regular yoga meetings All aspects of scheduling including allocating classes, building schedules on Canva, updating Buddha Sanctuary social media accounts Communicate open and closing times with Front Office in a timely manner Coordinate and respond to event hire enquiries and liaising with Blue Body team as required Event hire follow up administration including hire agreements and invoices Arranging teacher Tenancy Agreements, and renewing as required Approve and Process Timesheets and Organise leave cover Occupational Health and Safety meetings and reporting monthly Our ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following: Excellent communication skills and telephone manner with a strong focus on guest satisfaction The ability to work autonomously and within a team Previous supervisory experience desirable Possess a current Senior First Aid or the willingness to obtain What's on offer: Competitive industry salary Great working conditions Part-Time Employment (Split daily shifts) Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:00am to 10:15am and 3:00pm to 6:15pm Staff Discounts at Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa Please submit your application today or visit our careers site for further information.
