This will be a hands-on role working in a well-established team, reporting directly to a Partner. You will provide support to a wide portfolio of clients with a mix of tax & business service clients. Joining incentive Attractive remuneration package Flexible working arrangements available Fantastic office location in Mackay CBD A supportive and friendly workplace culture Weekly training sessions to support CPD Monthly team lunches provided Study Support Social club events throughout the year The Role: Prepare financial statements, tax returns and tax plans for a wide range of individual and business clients Prepare Business Activity Statements and periodic operational reviews Liaising with the ATO Prepare additional statutory reporting requirements, including payroll tax and WorkCover The creation and implementation of business cash flow, tax planning, forecasting and other various value-add reporting material Mentoring cadets and trainees Direct access to a partner at the firm 4+ years of business services and taxation experience Sound knowledge of accounting, financial and business principles and procedures Completed or studying towards a Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent or currently studying towards or recently attained CA/CPA qualifications Organisation and time management skills Strong teamwork skills, with experience working towards team goals and KPIs Proficiency in MYOB, Xero & Quickbooks accounting software would be beneficial Candidates wishing to apply are invited to submit their resume and a short cover letter outlining why they wish to join Brown & Bird to Dan Ross on ******.
