Job Description About the Position: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a fixed term (until 30/06/2025), People and Culture / HR practitioner to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Strategic Project Officer - People and Culture.
The Strategic Project Officer - People and Culture will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the Learning and Development program for 2025, developing an annual L&D program, collating and updating internal procedures, and assisting with other projects where required. This role may be performed flexibly and/or remotely for the right candidate.
As our ideal candidate, you will have the following experience, skills, or attributes: HR and People & Culture Experience : Proven track record in fast-paced environments, including delivering learning and development programs. Project Management : Skilled in planning, organising, and delivering HR initiatives within tight deadlines, working independently, and using initiative. Policy Development : High competency in creating written policies and procedures. Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with excellent interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of people. Legislation and Compliance : Ability to understand and interpret legislation, enterprise agreements, awards, and payroll information. Attention to Detail : Capable of managing competing priorities and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail. Relationship Building : Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Problem-Solving : High degree of problem-solving skills. An attractive base salary of approx. $91,000 - $98,000 per annum pro rata. In addition to base salary, there are generous allowances (Location and Housing Assistance of up to $18,000 pa pro rata) and employer matched superannuation with a total max contribution of 15.5%.
