As our highly valued Broker Development Manager based in South Yarra, your role is to be the first point of contact for a portfolio of brokers to generate Home Loan applications and settlements in line with the three-year business plan. At Great Southern Bank, a BDM is responsible for developing and executing a structured call plan to build excellent B2B relationships with the brokers in your portfolio. You will also be the primary account contact for the aggregator with a core focus on growing market share.
You'll make an impact by: Building awareness of Great Southern Banks products and services, application process, credit policy and service proposition through regular contact and ongoing training of brokers.Ensuring Great Southern Bank is well represented and promoted at State Based Development events and regular calling strategy to regional brokers to help extend Great Southern Banks reach to more customers to enable our purpose – helping all Australians to own their own home.Providing quick and efficient support to brokers regarding Great Southern Banks policy and process inquiries, including support on deal structuring and scenario questions.Your responsibilities Business Development
You are known for your business development skills, identifying sales opportunities, and delivering on sales targets. You are able to effectively segment a large portfolio of brokers and apply appropriate strategies to achieve multi-tier KPIs. You ensure effective communication with the designated brokers in accordance with Great Southern Bank's communication framework. You represent the Broker team through attendance at partner professional and industry development days, which may require interstate travel.
Customer Experience and Service
Proactively monitor processes to achieve continuous improvement and deliver outstanding broker and customer outcomes. You will develop, implement and monitor a broker calling program to ensure regular contact, product offering and brand awareness amongst your broker and aggregator partners. You manage and evaluate escalated issues, provide guidance and make recommendations, or escalate as required. You conduct spot checks of applications, ensuring compliance to policy, processes, products, and information is fit for purpose. You keep stakeholders informed of impending impacts and provide meaningful options and solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will have: 7+ years in banking/financial servicesPrevious relevant experience in a similar role in the banking industry, with strong broker and aggregator networksExperience in all aspects of the residential home loans, with a strong understanding of credit assessmentDemonstrated success in implementing structured call plansYour qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or Banking-related subjects (desirable)Relevant lending qualificationsKnowledge of financial services Codes and ActsWhy Great Southern Bank?
