Job DescriptionThe Broadcast Audio and Comms Support Engineer role focuses on supporting audio and communications systems that deliver media across TV, streaming platforms, mobile, radio, and print, covering sports, news, and entertainment.
Responsibilities include system support for stakeholders reliant on Broadcast Technology services, along with contributing to knowledge transfer, documentation, and user training.
The role is part of a dynamic team that values innovation and encourages creative ideas to advance broadcasting operations in Australia.Day to day you will: Provide prompt, in-depth technical support of Broadcast systems and services.Manage the lifecycle of all incidents of assigned Broadcast systems and services.Provide assistance to all other Broadcast Technology teams as directed.Take ownership of the design, implementation and support of assigned Broadcast systems and services.Manage the lifecycle of all incidents, requests, change initiatives and system upgrades of assigned Broadcast systems and services.Meet regularly with stakeholders to develop and adapt workflows, systems and services to meet business objectives.Act as a role model and mentor to all team members and stakeholders.This role will require you to be available to support systems and services as required - out of hours, weekend and on-call work may be required.QualificationsIn order to be successful you will bring:Proven experience working in a team supporting Broadcast and Production systems.A Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.Experience supporting audio, talkback and communications production systems software and hardware.Experience supporting talkback and communications systems software and hardware.An in-depth knowledge of broadcast audio, talkback and communications workflows.An understanding of Broadcast IT infrastructure and workflows including ST2110, Dante and AES67.Able to self-manage and prioritise BAU and Project tasks.Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation and team training material.Experience with Calrec, Riedel, Yamaha, Lawo, VSM, Protools and Codecs or equivalent is desirable.Additional InformationOur Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:At Nine, we are committed to fostering a workforce that embraces all aspects of diversity and inclusion and where practices are equitable to ensure our people experience a sense of belonging.
