Working closely with Partners and senior team members, matters will incorporate large-scale disputes including contract claims involving issues such as defective work, trade practices, delay costs, variations, and liquidated damages.With the team of 17 lawyers specialising in front-end, back-end and insurance matters, our Construction & Engineering team acts for public and significant private companies in the mining, engineering, construction, and property industries, including developers, main contractors, principals, sub-contractors, and construction insurers. With a strong national reputation, the team is regarded as one of the most respected legal practices dealing with construction and engineering issues.The team's approach to disputes is to provide a timely, efficient, and economic resolution of disputes.Our range of services include:Security of payment adjudication disputes;Litigation and arbitration including large-scale disputes;Time-related claims (prolongation, disruption, acceleration and liquidated damages);Variations;Defective work claims; andDesign and consultant liability claims.The role offers great progression opportunities and genuine Partner access, coaching and mentoring. You can expect to be challenged with a wide variety of work.Essential Experience and CriteriaTo be considered for this role, you will have 5 years + post-admission experience in construction dispute resolution, with experience working on security of payment adjudication matters. You will have excellent analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
