The Role The primary purpose of this role is to provide high quality support and assistance to project managers / senior project managers in the delivery of complex construction projects from inception to completion. Assistant project managers may also be required to manage small size / non-complex projects. It is essential that this role has an understanding and knowledge of project management principles, is outcome focused to ensure scope, time, and budget requirements are being met.
The Opportunity This temporary position is based in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley and provides access to all of Brisbane City Council's work conditions and flexible arrangements. You will assist in the delivery of designated project outcomes as outlined by project schedule and project plans on a range of projects delivering a better Brisbane.
To be successful you will have: Ability to provide high quality project coordination and support to project managers. Well-developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to gather and compile information, develop reports and make appropriate recommendations utilising Microsoft Office Suite. A proven ability in successfully developing and managing customer and stakeholder relationships, handling general project communications and preparing and delivering presentations. Proven project management and organisational skills, able to work collaboratively across projects, and participate in project scoping, engagement, monitoring, tracking and reporting.
