About the Role: The Program Manager leads two key services, managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality support for at-risk youth and their families. Responsibilities include risk management, strategic planning, and overseeing the On Track residential program. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact.
Responsibilities Oversee therapists, psychologists, and administrative staff to ensure effective service delivery. Supervise the provision of professional counselling for children, young people, and families, ensuring high-quality therapeutic interventions. Manage the residential program providing support for at-risk youth, including oversight of the program coordinator. Monitor and address risks to children and young people engaged with the service, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Create and execute strategic plans for service development, including regular reviews and updates. Prepare, monitor, and manage operational budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds and support for service activities. Offer guidance and supervision to staff and student placements, including performance evaluations and professional development opportunities. Develop and sustain effective administrative procedures and office systems to support service operations. Build and maintain relationships with external service providers, government agencies, and community organizations for effective collaboration and support. Adhere to relevant legislation and organizational policies, and prepare reports for stakeholders, including government departments and funding bodies. Selection Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or Behavioural Sciences. Experience in working with young people and families, especially in the areas of child protection, domestic and family violence, and/or child and adolescent mental health. Ability to demonstrate and manage a multidisciplinary team through effective interpersonal engagement. Sound knowledge of child protection issues and the Child Protection Act. Ability to travel and work across sites. Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful: Valid Queensland driver's license with no restrictions. QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card).
