Our location is: 3a Onyx Court, High Wycombe, WA 6057 Duties and responsibilities: Understand, read and apply design plans and technical specifications Laying bricks and blocks to build residential houses Seal foundations with waterproof materials Spread or remove layers of mortar to serve as a base and binder for bricks Use various hand tools and machines to cut, shape, shine and lay bricks Dismantling and erecting of scaffold required to perform bricklaying work Identify materials and calculate dimensions required for installation as required Cleaning up workstations & areas.
Using stone slabs and large masonry block slabs to build walls.
Calculate angles and determine the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses.
Ensuring that bricks have the correct alignment Cutting and shaping bricks using the required tools to ensure that the bricks fit in various spaces Repairing walls if required Mixing a variety of mortars Qualification/Skills required for the position • At least 1 years of experience in all facets of bricklaying work • Bricklayer certificate III or IV • Driver license • Must have a white card • Asbestos awareness • Have teamwork skills Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
