About the Role As a GSS Financial Accountant at Breville, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the financial integrity of our global operations. Supporting multiple entities across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Germany, and France, you'll oversee key aspects of the General Ledger, including project accounting, fixed asset management, VAT / GST preparation, and reconciliations. This is an 11-month max-term contract.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly accounts in ERP system to ensure that there is a robust and timeous month-end reconciliation.Prepare monthly project accounting journal with support from project commercial team.Oversee the Fixed Assets Register, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Manage accounting for fixed assets and New Product Development (Project Accounting).Assist in the preparation of tax and VAT returns, including compliance for various EU countries.Liaise with Corporate Finance to assist in reporting on projects.Perform intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare accurate and timely month-end closes in accordance with the Group reporting timetable.Contribute to the day-to-day management of financial accounting processes across multiple entities.We're Interested in Hearing from People Who Have: Degree qualified in Accounting or related discipline.CA / CPA qualified or near completion.Ability to solve problems and take initiative.Knowledge of accounting standards.Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUP and pivot tables.Key Attributes for Success: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage at all levels of the organisation.Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills.Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.What we offer you: Competitive compensation package.A fun and rewarding team environment.Opportunity to work for an Australian Stock Exchange listed company.Employee assistance program.Paid parental leave policy.Employee discounts of up to 50% on all our electrical products.Corporate health and wellness benefits.To Apply Come and make your mark with this global leader by applying today via the Apply Now button.
