This role will be accountable for the achievement of production standards, staff training and supervision, and ensuring compliance with strict biosecurity and health and safety guidelines.This is a live-in position with accommodation provided.Immediate startOnsite ParkingGreat employee benefits including product discounts, travel discounts + and more!Great job security with an ASX-listed and stable companyThe health, safety and wellbeing of our people is our highest priorityFast-paced and team-focused environmentDaily TasksOversee the daily operations of the farm with responsibility for achieving production standards and ensuring all livestock is treated humanely, and in compliance with Ingham's Minimum Standard ProceduresLeading, coaching, and developing the team to ensure they have the capability to meet the performance goalsDrive a strong safety culture and corrective and preventative safety programmes with a focus on behavioural safetyOversee all farm maintenance work and engage with contractors for repairs as requiredManage, monitor and keep within budget, seeking approval for out-of-scope spendIdentify, drive and embed continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency programmesYou will bring to this role:Previous hands-on experience in a similar farming operations role in the poultry industry or similarExperience in leading, coaching and motivating a teamA good understanding of modern farming methods, a commitment to animal welfare and an interest in, and understanding of, the ways in which farming impacts the environmentAbility to work outside in all weathers and undertake hands-on jobs as well as attending to office dutiesStrong Computer skills with proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suiteHigh attention to detail and demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organize work demands and meet tight deadlinesDemonstrated understanding and exposure to both Biosecurity and Animal Welfare principlesWe're looking for people who are curious, caring, courageous and committed to join us.
