Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success.Come and be a part of this success.About the RoleWe are seeking highly skilled and experienced fitters for our Breakdowns team across our Western Australian Iron Ore sites, on a 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off, fly in - fly out roster.In your role, your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:Repairs, inspections, and breakdown maintenance on a variety of equipment including AH Komatsu 930E-5 haul trucks, Caterpillar ancillary equipment, such as D10T-2, 18M, 24M, 854K and WA1200Initiating updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipmentProviding input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliabilityIdentifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assisting in the implementation of the new initiatives in a constructive wayDemonstrating a focus on safety, achievement and team engagement in all aspects of workAbout YouAs the successful candidate, you will possess the following:Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical QualificationsKomatsu haul trucks, Caterpillar ancillary equipment, WA1200 highly desirableDemonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with ideally both trucks & ancillary equipmentDogging, Rigging and Forklift Licenses are desirableValid Australian Driver's Licence essentialA commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedureComputer literacy and/or experience in 1SAPSafety first mentalityAbout Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
