About the Role We are seeking highly skilled and experienced fitters for our Breakdowns team across our Western Australian Iron Ore sites, on a 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off, fly in - fly out roster.
In your role, your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following: Repairs, inspections, and breakdown maintenance on a variety of equipment including AH Komatsu 930 E-5 haul trucks, Caterpillar ancillary equipment, such as D10 T-2, 18 M, 24 M, 854 K and WA1200 Initiating updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment Providing input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assisting in the implementation of the new initiatives in a constructive way Demonstrating a focus on safety, achievement and team engagement in all aspects of work About You As the successful candidate, you will possess the following: Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical Qualifications Komatsu haul trucks, Caterpillar ancillary equipment, WA1200 highly desirable Demonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with ideally both trucks & ancillary equipment Dogging, Rigging and Forklift Licenses are desirable Valid Australian Driver's Licence essential A commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedure Computer literacy and/or experience in 1 SAP Safety first mentality About Our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
