Bravus Mining and Resources owns and operates the Carmichael mine, which is a thermal coal mine in the Galilee Basin, about 160km northwest of Clermont. The Carmichael mine provides direct employment in permanent roles for more than 1,200 Queenslanders and produces in the order of 10 million tonnes per annum of high-quality coal for the export market.
We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to join our team on a 12-month Maternity Leave Contract to support our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and his Leadership Team to deliver the business' FY26 objectives. This position is based in our Townsville Headquarters and has an expected start date of early-to-mid-March 2025.
About The Role
The Executive Assistant will support the COO by managing daily administrative tasks, scheduling, and ensuring smooth office operations. This role involves:
Schedule & Diary Management: Organising the COO's calendar and that of the leadership team Travel Coordination: Arranging travel itineraries, including flights and accommodation Correspondence Management: Handling incoming and outgoing communications professionally Expense Reporting: Preparing accurate corporate credit card reconciliations and claims Meeting Coordination: Scheduling meetings, booking venues, and organising catering Minutes: Documenting meeting discussions and action items Office Management: Overseeing office supplies, facilities, and vendor coordination Cross-Functional Support: Assisting other departments during peak periods Invoice Processing: Managing accurate invoice processing in coordination with finance Confidentiality: Handling sensitive information with discretion Presentation Preparation: Assisting with presentations for internal and external engagements Stakeholder Engagement: Managing communication with stakeholders Ad-Hoc Tasks: Performing additional duties as required Requirements
We seek an adaptable, solutions-focused candidate with a minimum of 3 years' experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably in the mining or construction industry. Key qualifications include:
