Heading up the Creative function this role is responsible for the visual identity, consistency and evolution of the product and brand. Working closely with the Heads of Product and Marketing & Ecommerce, GM and Directors, the Brand Art Director creates range concepts and oversees the visual design of product and packaging. The role will be responsible for brand campaign shoots and the creation of assets required to ensure that each collection is rolled out consistently across all touchpoints and is responsible for the creative direction of all required outputs. THE ROLE: Develop creative concepts for new collections, including mood boards, storytelling, color palettes, illustrations, typography, and packaging concepts. Create mood boards for shoot direction across all touchpoints, ensuring consistent visual communication. Create visual style guides for each range to ensure consistent and efficient rollout. Collaborate with the Marketing and Ecommerce Manager to understand required outputs and assets for brand content and communication strategy. Generate innovative visual concepts resonating with the target audience. Develop and present concept documents, including overall mood, shoot direction, lighting, set design, talent sourcing, and run sheets. Create digital and in-store style guides for website, social media, instore screens, windows, signage, and touchpoints. Provide guidance on in-house and web shoot assets to best represent the brand. Maintain and evolve brand style guide and oversee finished art for products and packaging. Oversee visual look and feel of digital assets to align with Brand Identity. Update and evolve corporate packaging and assets as required. On-site in St Kilda Rd offices 5 days per week. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Strong graphic design and art direction skills, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a retail environment. A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent in Design, Fine Arts, or related field (desirable). Proactive and creative mindset, adept at generating ideas to enhance brand visuals. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet stringent deadlines. In-depth knowledge of typography, color, layout, and design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Detail-oriented, collaborative team player with strong communication skills. Flexible and adaptable to a growing team and fast-paced work environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
