Brand And Communications Officer

This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the brand strategy and communications framework of Somerset College.
This role ensures cohesive and compelling messaging across all platforms, enhancing brand identity, reputation, and audience engagement.
The ideal candidate will combine creativity with strategic thinking to build and maintain a strong, consistent, and impactful brand presence.
Key accountabilities: Prepare, coordinate and produce various Somerset publications, advertisements and other print media.Maintain the College website to ensure currency and accuracy.Monitor website performance using SEO tools and analytic platforms.Collaborate with content creators to optimise website performance.Prepare and assist others in the preparation of Campaign Monitor email distributions.Take general photographs as required and coordinate an annual professional photo shoot for College publications.Assist the Digital Media Officer with College social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn.Collaboratively implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with College communications goals and enhances its online presence.Maintain the College Style Guide to ensure consistency of branding across the College.You will bring: Proven experience in brand strategy, communications, or related roles.Strong understanding of brand management principles and marketing trends.Exceptional storytelling, writing and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in creating publications, use of Adobe InDesign and Canva.Proficiency in digital media tools, analytics platforms, and creative software.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Working with Children blue card.Somerset College is one of Australia's leading co-educational independent schools catering for over 1700 students from Pre-Prep to Year 12.
