About the role Join us as a Branch Support Security Officer, working 42 hours per week across days, nights and weekends to deliver outstanding security services at key client sites in Sheffield and York.

Job Description Prevent unauthorised access, monitor alarms and conduct security patrols Provide traffic control, manage keys and handle locking/unlocking duties Maintain logbooks, issue visitor passes and manage lost property Offer support and information to staff, visitors and contractors Ensure walkways are clear, report hazards and manage emergencies Investigate fire alarm activations and monitor First Aid equipment Report potential risks of theft, damage and vandalism Switch off unnecessary lights and close windows during patrols Operate security equipment and conduct 'stop and search' procedures Investigate and report incidents and suspicious activities Provide exceptional service and assist with staff and visitor issues Maintain professional presentation and answer calls promptly Essential Skills Must hold a valid SIA Licence A full UK driving licence and own transport is essential Must be over 18 Must have right to work in the UK and a five year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment or full and part-time education during that period No current criminal convictions Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus Be able to work independently as well as part of a team Be punctual and reliable Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights and weekends and be available as and when called upon to cover shifts, occasionally at short notice Be sensitive towards and show an understanding of the requirements of people with disabilities or special needs Prior experience as a Security Officer in the Security industry is desirable A First Aid qualification would be advantageous
