Our Newcastle Business Unit requires a motivated professional with strong sales, operational and leadership qualities.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for the protection of the Company's assets and ensuring that the Business Unit is managed in a manner which maximises sales, minimises costs, optimises EBIT and returns an acceptable ROFE.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Foodservice or an allied industry, will be able to demonstrate a successful history of organisational excellence, and superior interpersonal skills. Initiative and strong attention to detail are critical for this role, as is the ability to enhance and develop profitable business relationships with customers and suppliers.
Key requirements:
Identify and maximise sales opportunities
Prepare, manage, review and achieve budgets for sales, expenses, EBIT and ROFE
Monitor transport, vehicle, equipment and warehouse operations and expenses to meet budget requirements whilst minimising costs
Liaise with Suppliers, Sales Manager and Purchasing Officers to optimise local deals and ensure stock levels are maintained, reviewed and adjusted
Manage personnel and authorise wages and overtime to budget ensuring rostering is addressed efficiently to meet the operational requirements of the business
Generate, analyse and maintain reports and records
Continually improve systems and procedures by recommending and implementing change
Ensure that safe working procedures are in place and adhered to
Monitor the team's performance to expectations of job function, counselling and performance management
Skills and Experience:
Proven background in Foodservice or an allied industry
Proven background in sales is essential
Knowledge of OHS & HACCP requirements
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient organisation and managerial skills
Ability to work under pressure and as part of a diverse team
Aptitude for working with computers
Able to provide leadership and motivation to a team
