The Role - We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Branch Manager in Broadwood / Kalgoorlie. The Branch Manager is responsible to manage all operational work across the accountable contracts, enabling the execution of the contractual obligations and KPIs through effective safety leadership, cost management and resource allocation. A focus on driving additional business opportunities for Toll in the region.
This is a role where leadership, customer excellence and operational efficiency all come together, and you will need to drive high standards whilst ensuring the site is being run safely and efficiently. With up to 10 direct reports, you will have demonstrable experience managing operations, leading people, being the customer touch point, and always leading from the front with a safety obsessed focus. Understanding of DG (Dangerous Goods), knowledge of carting high class explosives, controlled waste, bulk liquids etc.
Primary Responsibilities and Decisions - Maintain a safe work environment and safe work systems and procedures with a focus on the attainment of Safe and Incident Free.Ensure the business meets statutory compliance obligations and corporate safety policies.Ensure effective commercial management of the sites operations primarily by maximizing income and cost control.Maintain client relationships making sure to meet or exceed client service expectations for the delivery of products.Ensure operational tasks are completed as per the correct procedure in a safe, efficient and economical manner.Seek new business opportunities for the company in the region.What you'll need to succeed - At least 5 years management experience in transport, logistics or related industry.Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.Understanding of the Kalgoorlie and surrounding areas business environment.Proficient computer skills with good written and verbal communication skills.Truck license to MC also preferable.A tertiary qualification in logistics or business-related discipline or equivalent experience (highly desirable).Join us and take your career to new heights in the fast-paced world of logistics!
