This is an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Female Brain Injury Support Worker to join the team at Libertatem Healthcare Group in Southport, Lancashire. The successful applicant will need to have experience in brain injury support and a full UK driving license with access to their own vehicle. The role involves engaging with personalized routines, completing daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for the client.
Main duties of the jobThe client has reduced mobility, pain, shortness of breath, dysphasia, loss of hearing, and other psychological and cognitive symptoms, resulting in a reduced functional capacity with activities and daily living. The Brain Injury Support Worker will be responsible for engaging with personalized routines, completing daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support and companionship, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Job responsibilitiesWe have an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Female Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team in Southport, Lancashire.
Our client has reduced mobility with pain & shortness of breath, dysphasia, loss of hearing as well as other psychological and cognitive symptoms. Due to this there is a reduced functional capacity with activities and daily living.
The successful applicant will need to have experience within brain injury support and due to the responsibilities surrounding the care, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full UK driving license as well as access to their own vehicle.
Pay Rate: £16.22 per hour
Working Hours: Monday (either 5pm – 8pm or 6pm – 9pm)
Alternate Saturdays 10am – 4pm
Flexibility to pick up other shifts as and when needed
Key Responsibilities: Engaging with personalized routines.Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.Providing emotional support and companionship.Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions.Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.Ability to deal with challenging behaviors.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work the specified hours.Benefits: Supportive and friendly working environment.Opportunities for professional development and training.Regular supervisions and check-ins.Both online and in-person training.Training & Background Checks: An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client, and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
