What's the Role: As the Structural Design Engineer for our Mineral Processing division based in Burswood, you will manage structural design & engineering requirements in support of Product Development activities within Australia, providing safe and cost-effective solutions to meet and exceed customer requirements. You will be a collaborative individual who can work with both the internal engineering team and third-party providers to complete the certification of designs in support of delivering projects.
As a data-driven and detail-oriented engineer, you will monitor the performance of solutions through condition monitoring, review designs, and conduct analyses using engineering calculations & FEA. This role will be a Hybrid role where you are not only assessing Chutes, Lifting points, Transport frames and structures to meet safety requirements but have the opportunity to design, rework and improve designs to better suit our clients. Meticulous in your approach, you will ensure Bradken's internal specifications, customer specifications, Australian standards and legislative requirements are adhered to at all times.
Key Selection Criteria IEAust recognised Bachelor of Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (CPEng qualification is not essential but will be highly regarded) Strong technical skills with an understanding of structural design including the determination of design loads Thorough knowledge of relevant industry codes of practice and Australian standards Proficiency with ANSYS FEA and SpaceGass software Proficiency with Siemens NX software or similar CAD software is preferable Working knowledge of mineral processing & material handling equipment and processes highly regarded This role is based in Burswood, WA You will join a high-performing team of passionate and innovative engineers and will have the opportunity to work on a world-class and groundbreaking product range.
