The role: Reporting to the Brackenrigg Manager, you will be supporting and managing our operation on a day-to-day basis. You will be a key player in a newly refurbished pub which has been growing since it opened. You will bring plenty of industry experience and strong leadership skills to the role and your warm and professional personality will fit perfectly with our culture of "relaxed professionalism". As well as delivering an unrivalled dining experience, you will work closely with our head chef to express our passion for food in a lakeside location.

What your days could look like: Working to exceed guest expectations by managing the Inn in a relaxed but professional manner. Working with the senior management team to develop and evolve the Pub, taking an active role in identifying new trends and opportunities. Being part of the team with a hands-on approach to your shift and supporting on the floor. Managing the financial performance of the Pub alongside the Pub Manager. Ensuring all revenue, payroll and overheads budgets are met. Support the manager with Rotas and working on team utilisation. Liaising with the pub manager to successfully deliver the service. Ensuring check in/check outs are completed to company standard. Support Housekeeping to help drive standards. Learn all systems required to carry out duties. Take care of Guests Billing. To ensure all complaints and feedback are managed to company standard. Provide a sympathetic ear to any complaints received. Managing the ongoing training, development and performance of the Brackenrigg Team. Promoting and leading a culture of continual professional development. Overseeing all ordering and deliveries to ensure good stock control and minimal wastage. Ensuring a safe environment for both staff and guests and adhering to the company's health and safety policy and procedures. Jobs skills and requirements: Supervisor experience in a similar setting. Previous experience of managing a team. A good knowledge of customer care/ complaint handling. Minimum of Maths and English Grade C or above qualification. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel. First Aid. Health and Safety. Food hygiene. Computer literate. Good communication skills. Ability to work in a busy environment. Ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously. Confidence in dealing with staff and guests. Good Leader. Experience in cash handling. Budgetary/ costing experience. Responsible. Confident. Care about our team and our environment.
