Due to exciting growth in our Environment business, we are looking for Intermediate & Senior Botanists to work in our passionate Flora & Vegetation Team.
We are interested in experienced Botanists that can manage projects, lead field surveys and write technical reports.The roleBased in our Perth office, the Flora & Vegetation Team are experts in their field, with demonstrated experience in undertaking comprehensive detailed flora and vegetation surveys, targeted significant species surveys, technical reporting, and impact assessments.As part of the Flora & Vegetation Team, you will:Undertake flora and vegetation surveys, including targeted surveys, in a range of remote and diverse environments across Western Australia.Analyse ecological data and prepare clear, concise technical reports.Liaise with technical and subject matter experts.Prepare proposals, budgets and tender documents.Receive mentoring to develop your technical skills further, driving your career progression.Expand your knowledge across various disciplines including terrestrial fauna, aquatic and marine ecology, mine closure, remote sensing, and environmental approvals.To be successful in the role you will need:Tertiary qualification in biological or environmental science, or a related discipline.A minimum of two years related experience in undertaking flora and vegetation surveys, ideally with an environmental consultancy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting skills.The desire and ability to undertake field work.Ability to work well in a team environment and embrace innovation.Taxonomic experience will be seen as beneficial but not essential.What we offerA highly skilled, established and friendly team environment comprising a range of Principal, Senior, Intermediate and Graduate botanists.In-house new herbarium facility with representative botanical specimens across our project areas.Part of a broader Environment and Geoscience team across Australia.Penalty rates and time in lieu for field work in remote locations.Learning and talent development programs.Career development, with opportunities to expand your knowledge across various ecological disciplines.Genuine flexible working arrangements.Option to purchase up to four weeks additional leave.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) accessible to employees and their immediate family.Access to bonus programs within the business.Paid professional registration and memberships.Service recognition awards.Consideration of relocation assistance for an experienced, interstate candidate.How to applyIf this position is of interest, please apply via the link below.Please note that no agency applications will be accepted at this time.#J-18808-Ljbffr
