The Role
We are looking for a steel fabricator/welder with trade or post-trade experience to join our team based in Mount Gambier.
In this position, you will be required to complete a wide array of projects ensuring that technical requirements and specifications are met.
Responsibilities include:
Ability to complete, read and interpret drawings and specifications for projects where required Supervise and provide support to apprentices to ensure appropriate training is received Coordinate any required resources to complete projects within agreed timeframes Ensuring accuracy and quality of finished work Maintain housekeeping standards, tools, and equipment To be considered for this position you will:
Completed their qualification and be competent in all aspects of their trade.
Have experience in steel fabrication/welding skills Have experience working in a busy hands-on environment Have excellent attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and safety Ability to interpret detail shop drawings and specifications.
Support and supervise apprentices to ensure appropriate training is received.
Enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task Great communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels.
Maintain housekeeping standards, tools, and equipment The following will be considered an advantage, but not essential for this position:
Knowledge in plate fabrication Basic dogging or rigging certification Hold EWP and Working at Heights certification Experience operating overhead cranes Your skills and work ethic will be rewarded with excellent working conditions and competitive terms and conditions of employment.
