Are you an experienced Bookkeeper or Accounts Officer with proficiency in Xero looking for a flexible part-time opportunity? If so, this role could be the perfect fit for you!

Become part of a well-established Not-for-Profit organisation dedicated to providing exceptional services across Queensland. Known for its strong commitment to community welfare, it offers a wide range of essential services and has established itself as a vital player in the education and health sectors.

Join a dedicated finance team and take responsibility for a variety of bookkeeping tasks for multiple portfolios, managing transactional processes including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

Key Responsibilities include:  Managing financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Processing a large number of invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and efficiently. Reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents in a timely manner. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Preparing and presenting financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data and resolving any discrepancies. About You: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, handling AP/AR financial transactions. Must be based in Brisbane or the surrounding area, as the successful candidate will need to travel to the office for meetings fortnightly or monthly. The office is located in Auchenflower. Proficiency in using Xero is a must. Ability to handle a high volume of invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated initiative and responsibility. This is a permanent part-time opportunity, approximately 15 hours per week. The successful candidate must be available to work additional hours during busy periods as well as travel to the office in Auchenflower for fortnightly or monthly meetings; other times, it is 100% work from home.
