Job DescriptionThis is a full time permanent for a client who is a global welfare organization committed to ensuring that every orphaned child living in poverty has access to the tools and opportunities they need to overcome their difficult experiences.

In order to achieve that, they are led by core values of transparency, dignity and empowerment.Key ResponsibilitiesOverseeing and maintaining a well-run system to account for financial transactions, following an agreed chart of accountsAnalyzing financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capitalPreparing financial statements, and weekly, monthly and annual reports to managementAssisting with Budget compiling and reportingEntering financial records and data into accounting and CRM softwareVerifying, allocating, and posting transactionsProcessing of accounts receivable and accounts payable, and recording depositsProcessing and maintaining adequate records of the Charity's collection boxesFollowing up on payments for the Charity's Child Private Sponsorship Scheme and ensuring they are up to dateMaintaining a Fixed Assets RegisterMonthly bank accounts reconciliation.Balance sheet accounts reconciliation.Completing month end proceduresConduct other tasks as needed or assignedEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting or 2+ years related experienceKnowledge and understanding of principles of accountingExperience in using standard spreadsheet and database software and accounting software.Ability to analyse financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss, and other reports.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExcellent attendance and communication skillsExceptional attention to detailSkillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office ProgramsData literacy and reporting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBasic level of written and spoken ArabicFast data entry ability/keyboard skillsBackground, degree and/or qualifications in Accounting & FinancePrevious experience in managing accounts & recordsUnderstanding of the charitable donations, e.g.
Khums, Sadaqa, ZakatUnderstanding of common payment/donation methods for charitiesCompetencies:Strong attention to detail, i.e., meticulous in their workProactivity and self-motivationAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to manage pressure, conflicting demands and prioritise tasksHard working and eager to learnAdditional RequirementsFlexibility of working outside working hours
