Our client, a leading timber manufacturing company located in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in a full-time, onsite role.
With your proven track record in a similar position, along with your ability to hit the ground running and deliver results, you will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations and contributing to its continued success.

Key Responsibilities Cash Sales Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile daily cash sales, ensuring accurate posting of debtor EFT payments.Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations for two separate companies, ensuring accurate matching of transactions and resolving discrepancies.Trial Balance Management: Assist in the balancing of the trial balance, maintaining accurate financial records.Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile company credit card transactions, ensuring all charges are accounted for and any discrepancies are addressed.BAS Reporting: Collate, prepare, and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) in compliance with ATO requirements.General Ledger Entries: Process journal entries in the general ledger, maintaining accurate financial reporting.Prepayment & Depreciation Entries: Accurately record prepayment and depreciation entries, ensuring proper accounting for assets.Payment Processing: Ensure prompt and accurate processing of payments as required, ensuring suppliers are paid on time.Debtors Management: Close off monthly debtors, prepare statements, and assist with debt collection efforts, reporting on outstanding balances.Creditors Management: Close off creditors on a monthly basis, including reconciliation, EFT batch payments, invoice verification, and resolving credit issues or disputes.Data Entry: Accurately process creditors invoices and incoming stock, maintaining up to date financial records.Support to Directors and Business Manager: Provide support to the Directors and Business Manager in various administrative and financial tasks as required.Payroll Assistance: Assist with payroll tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee wages and related activities.What We Are Looking For Minimum 5 years Bookkeeping experience in a similar industryReckon accounting software experience ideally soughtHigh attention to detail and accuracyIntermediate / Advanced Excel skills idealWhat's in it for you Above market rate salary package being offeredOnsite parking on offerFantastic team culture where everyone enjoys coming to work!If you're ready to take your career to the next level and join a dynamic team, please APPLY NOW by submitting your resume and cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
