Skye is on the lookout for a Bookkeeper to join our team 2 days per week and contribute to our financial operations. As our Bookkeeper, reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for maintaining payroll, accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting the financial health of the organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.
What you'll do: Prepare and process payroll.Manage accounts payable and receivable.Perform bank and account reconciliation.Maintain and update financial records in accounting software.Assist with budgeting and forecasting.Prepare BAS, GST, and other statutory compliance requirements.Provide financial reports to assist in management decisions.Liaise with external accountants and auditors. What you'll bring to the table: Minimum 3 years proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks).Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a knack for building relationships at all levels.Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping or accounting (preferred but not essential).
