Book Keeper - Accounts Admin

We are seeking a part-time Book Keeper - Accounts Admin to join our team in Airlie Beach, QLD. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, accounts payable and receivable, and providing administrative support to the accounting department. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our dynamic yacht charter business.
What you'll be doing Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable. Prepare and process payroll, including calculating and remitting payroll taxes. Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide administrative support to the accounting team, such as filing, data entry, and answering inquiries. Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties, such as suppliers, to ensure the smooth running of financial operations. Liaising with external accountants and auditors to ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures. What we're looking for Minimum 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounts administration role, preferably within the small business or yachting industry. Strong proficiency in using accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders. Flexibility to work part-time, with availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
