Job Description General Requirements:
General fabrication & welding (MIG/TIG). Must be able to get military clearance. Maintenance and upgrades of Navy Vessels. Pipe fitting & rigging.
Base rates as above, then time/half, double time for week and weekend work.
The Company:
Our client requires experienced and qualified Boilermakers to join their team working out of Garden Island. This is a hybrid job, where you will provide maintenance services to the navy, marine, and commercial ship repair sector.
Boilermaker Duties: General fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG). Maintenance and upgrades of Navy Vessels. The ability to read drawings is a bonus - for brownfield upgrades. Heavy Fabrication, Welding, Pipe fitting and Rigging. Fabrication & installation (security sensitive) to Navy / Commercial ship requirements. Pressure testing. Lots of overtime available intermittently - weekend penalty rates apply. What You Require to Apply: Trade Qualified/Certified Boilermaker with 3+ years of experience. Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Rigger/dogger license. Confined space certificate / working from heights certificate. Must be able to pass drug screening/alcohol tests, and gain military clearance - clean police record due to location. Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
