Our client, located in SA, is a leading supplier of processed and fabricated steel to the building industry, servicing the construction, government, and mining sectors.
They are looking for full-time Boilermakers / Metal Fabricator-Welders / Welders (First class).
About the Role:Our client is a large engineering company looking to employ Boilermakers / Metal Fabricator-Welders / Welders (First class) to repair and fabricate various products.
They have up to 20 boilermaker/welder stations and offer a variety of welding processes for manufacturing customized steel structures.
Welding Expertise:Welding expertise in some or all of the following processes would be desirable: GMAW and GMAW Pulse, Submerged Arc Welding, Flux Cored Arc Welding, Manual Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG), and Stud Welding.
About You:We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator / Welder (First class) with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work and can work alongside an established team.
To be successful in this role, you would need to possess the following: Qualified as a Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator / Welder (First class) through an apprenticeship or equivalent.Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.Select, clean, and prepare metal stock.Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines.Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting.Examine welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision.Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and bathing in acidic solutions.Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding.Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment.If you meet the above criteria and you're interested in contributing to an organization that values the highest level of quality in everything it sets out to achieve, we want to hear from you!
