THE OPPORTUNITYHere at Norweld, we are continuing to grow our team to keep up with customer demand! This means we have opportunities for Boilermakers or First Class Welders with experience in aluminium fabrication to join our Cairns branch. You'll enjoy a great work/life balance with casual, part-time or full-time opportunities available to suit you! High level MIG and TIG welding skills are essential, as you will be responsible for manufacturing and welding Norweld tray and canopy components for high-end vehicle builds, with the support of an experienced team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out welding activities to manufacture, fabricate and repair parts and componentsEnsuring trays and canopies are cleaned once work is completeUndertaking activities in a team environment and meeting safety and production targetsCarrying out inspections and quality control throughout the manufacturing and production processEnsuring the health and safety of all customers, visitors and team membersIdentifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazardsMaintaining workplace cleanliness and tool and equipment careWHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThe ideal candidate will have:
Trade certificate or qualification and/or relevant experienceExcellent quality of work and time management skillsCurrent licenses and certificatesStrong, ongoing commitment to workplace health & safetyGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multi-skilled team environmentSound knowledge of 4×4 Makes, Models and popular accessories and brands (desirable)Passion for the outdoors, off-roading and camping is a plus!Your dream role awaits!
