About the Role:
A large engineering company is looking to employ a Boilermaker-Welders / Metal Fabricators / Welders (First class) to manufacture, repair and fabricate various structural steel products.
About you:
We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker-Welders / Metal Fabricators / Welders (First class) with a strong work ethic who takes pride in their work and can work alongside an established team.
To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: Qualified as a Boilermaker-Welder / Metal Fabricator / Welder (First class) through an apprenticeship or equivalent.AQF Certificate III including at least two years of experience orAt least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.Responsibilities include:
Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.Select, clean, and prepare metal stock.Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines.Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding.Able to work efficiently on your own or within a team environment.If you meet the above criteria and you're interested in contributing to an organisation that values the highest level of quality in everything it sets out to achieve, we want to hear from you!
