Huon's Projects and Engineering team are on the hunt for a qualified Boilermaker to join the team at our Port Huon workshop.
The role Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will:
Maintain and upgrade a variety of steel and aluminium vessels in Huon's Fleet from ocean going ships to small Dinghies.Undertake new vessel construction and modifications, including a variety of projects on land and water.This opportunity is a full-time position operating Monday to Friday. Above award wages and overtime rates apply.
About you You have trade qualifications and experience in relevant discipline and are competent in MIG and TIG welding stainless and aluminium.You are confident in your ability to fabricate and assemble as per engineers and shop drawings.You have excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in small or large teams on projects.Problem solving skills and contribution to design and engineering projects.You are enthusiastic and self-motivated with a positive attitude.You have a keen eye for detail and a proactive focus on continually looking to improve processes.Benefits of joining Huon As part of the Huon family, you will receive:
