Job description We are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil construction company known for delivering high-quality infrastructure and sub-division projects across Queensland and Australia.
Position Overview: This leading Civil company are seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Welder to join the team in their yard in Rocklea.
As a Boilermaker/Welder, you will be responsible for the preventative and routine maintenance of their fleet of earthmoving equipment, along with breakdown and repair work.
This will predominately be Caterpillar machines but will also include models from Volvo, Komatsu and Hitachi.
This will be split between workshop based duties and on site, field based work and will require travelling to various project sites as needed.
WHAT'S ON OFFER: Work with a Civil company that's been successfully operating for nearly 50 years Have circa 260 land development, subdivision and Infrastructure projects nation wide Operate in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA Have close to 2000 employees with a high retention rate Have a strong track record of up-skilling their workforce and promoting from within DUTIES + EXPERIENCE: Preventative and routine maintenance work across their fleet of machines (excavators, dozers, scrapers, etc) plus other duties such as bucket repair, working on shields, etc Troubleshooting and being able to work in various conditions e.g.
Summer on a sub-division project, winter on a freeway project, etc Experience with air gouging, oxy cutting, etc is all highly regarded Be able to consistently work 9-10 hours, Monday to Friday with additional overtime required when needed License – vehicle as a minimum.
MR or HR is advantageous.
Australian recognised Trade Qualification White card This is a permanent opportunity with a review at 6 months, increasing pay rates once set milestones are achieved.
This is an ongoing position where you will be working 8-10 hour days, 5 days per week with some Saturdays required.
Additionally an 8 on, 6 off roster will be on offer to the right candidate should you prefer.
