SMS Mining Services is a privately owned West Australian mining contractor founded in 2000. We have evolved from equipment rental to encompass maintenance, contract mining, and drill and blast divisions. Our mission is to enhance our reputation in the mining industry.
Rosters Available: 10:4 roster
Role Located: Kalgoorlie, WA - Workshop - FIFO from Perth Earning Potential: Up to $196k plus superannuation paid on all hours worked. Fulltime employment including leave for all of life's planned (annual) and unplanned (personal leave) events.
About the role:
Demonstrable ability to cut, shape, mould and heat metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies. Capability to heat treat metal parts and components. Competent in repairing or replacing malfunctioning or worn mechanical components Ability to assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them via welding, bolting to riveting. Able to finish product by cleaning, polishing, filing or bathing them in acid solutions, or by protective coatings. Capability to complete required safety duties such as job inspections, task planning, JHAs, Take 5s, and others as required. What we are looking for: Proven experience as a Boilermaker within the mining, mining services, or heavy industrial industry. Demonstrable experience working with large mobile earthmoving equipment. Team-oriented with the capability to work within your own crew and collaborate with crossover crews. Australian Recognised Trade Certificate III - Fabrication (Essential) Valid Manual C Class Driver's Licence (Essential). Valid HR Manual Driver's Licence (Essential). High-Risk Licence (Essential).
