The opportunity The E7A Wedgetail provides world class airborne early warning and control capability to our Australian defence customer. We are seeking a talented Systems Administrator to ensure the ground systems are maintained and any changes to those systems are integrated in a controlled manner.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinating with other design and specialty disciplines (eg. software, hardware, safety, security and support systems engineering) to ensure the products are properly integrated into the solution and delivered in a way that meets the customers needs. Consulting with the project teams to ensure the engineering scope meets the requirements of sustainment. Collaboration across Boeing and industry to align BDA work methods with best practice Utilising knowledge and skills to troubleshoot any issue within the products Assist with TMS administration tasks such as resetting passwords, installing updates, and replacing damaged equipment. Compile monthly security vulnerability reports and immediately report any changes affecting device risk profiles. Maintain service patches, antivirus, firewall, software, and drivers in accordance with SOPs for enhanced cybersecurity. Oversee system access control, configuration, backup and recovery, user account management, and data transfers, including classified data exports. Review and verify data export classifications, ensuring compliance with protective marking and logging requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned by Team Lead or Manager. Experience/Qualifications A Certificate IV in IT, or equivalent, is preferred, as it covers a broad range of relevant skills, including: Networking Software Applications Web Cybersecurity Troubleshooting; or alternatively Minimum of 5 years Systems Administrator experience Experience in technical problem solving Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements in order to achieve NV2 security clearance. Experience with specific systems such as Red Hat or Cisco is beneficial, but versatility in IT knowledge is prioritized Windows, Linux and VMware systems design and administration Experience in delivering/integrating systems within Defence project environments Experience with complex communications systems deployed in challenging environments An understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management with experience in Systems Engineering and/or systems integration in a complex project environment essential A current NV1 or NV2 security clearance.
