Overview
Titan Boats is seeking a dynamic and experienced Boat Design Manager to lead our design team and drive innovative boat designs that meet customer and regulatory requirements while supporting efficient production activities.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining Titan's reputation for excellence in the marine industry by ensuring high-quality designs and effective manufacturing information (MI) are delivered to the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the design team to ensure all company goals and objectives are met. Develop and maintain 3D boat models and extract comprehensive MI for production. Ensure designs comply with customer specifications and regulatory standards. Build a collaborative and innovative design team culture that fosters open communication and trust. Stay current with technological advancements, industry trends, and regulatory updates. Collaborate closely with internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Production. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Provide training and development for junior designers and foster a continuous improvement culture. Participate in project and production meetings, reporting on the progress of design projects and team objectives. Represent Titan Boats in interactions with customers, regulators, and auditors. Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a marine equivalent. Minimum of 7 years of experience in boat design. At least 3 years of experience leading design teams. Proficient in 3D software (SolidWorks & Rhino preferred). Experience developing MI for production and knowledge of regulatory standards such as Transport Canada TP1332, ISO, Lloyd's Register Grey Boat Code, and ABYC (asset). Experience managing multiple projects concurrently. Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills. Extensive knowledge of boat design, 3D modeling, and aluminum boat manufacturing. Familiarity with CNC pathing software and geometry or master-part based modeling. Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Office, and other relevant software applications. Personal Characteristics:

Pay: $80,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
