We offer comprehensive BoatSafe training programs for all levels, ensuring our students gain the skills and confidence needed to navigate Australian waterways safely.Job Description:We are seeking passionate Boat Training Providers (BTPs) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in marine operations, excellent instructional skills, and a commitment to safety and education. As a Boat Training Provider (BTP), you will be responsible for delivering BoatSafe training programs, conducting practical and theoretical sessions, and ensuring our students achieve their certification goals.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive BoatSafe MSQ courses, including practical on-water training and assessments, classroom written CAT tests. Theory is conducted online only.Ensure all training activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.Work with a small team to provide professional, friendly, and high-quality training.Launch, operate, and complete simple maintenance on PWCs and Training Vessels, based in a marina setting.Conduct safety drills and demonstrate the proper use of safety equipment.Maintain accurate records of student progress and certification.Stay current with industry trends, safety protocols, and regulatory changes.Must have Minimum Qualifications:Must be an Australian permanent resident or have a permanent work visa.Available to start November 2024.Aged 18 plus and physically fit enough to operate small boats and jet skis in all types of Queensland weather and confined water conditions.Experience in commercial or recreational marine operations.Holds an Australian RMDL Boat Licence or equivalent, and can obtain an Australian PWCL Jet Ski Licence or equivalent.Must hold an Australian Cert 4 or higher in student education or teaching, or VET qualification - TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.Holds or can quickly obtain Marine Coxswain NC1 or 2 or higher marine qualification.Current First Aid and CPR certification.Working with children Blue Card.No criminal record.Proven instructional skills and ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.Strong commitment to marine safety and regulatory compliance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to assess individual learning needs and adapt training methods accordingly.What We Offer:Best industry conditions and rates - $50 to $65 per hour.Opportunities for professional development and certification renewal.Secure long-established company offering an exciting part-time or full-time career.Potential shareholding opportunity and/or profit share for our new outlets in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast.A supportive and collaborative work environment.State-of-the-art training room facilities and new vessels and equipment.The chance to make a meaningful impact on boating safety and education.Great weekend/holiday work for school teachers with boat and jet ski experience.How to Apply:If you are passionate about boating and education and meet the above qualifications, we would love to hear from you!
