Job Description:
Boart Longyear has been a leading provider of drilling products and services to the global minerals industry for over 130 years. As the industry's only integrated drilling services and products provider, we combine engineering excellence, global manufacturing facilities, and the most experienced drilling services group in the industry.
This diverse role provides administration and financial accounting support to the Australia and Asia Logistics and Products teams. This is a junior role, but will be exposed to a range of different areas of the business with significant room for growth and advancement in any number of areas. This is an excellent role for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the Australian mining industry.
Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Overall responsibility for APAC transporter AP invoice reconciliation. Complete data entry and provide administration support. Provide support and complete related accounting and administrative tasks. Daily, weekly & monthly Supplier invoice reconciliations and coding. Purchase Order and Work Order creation. Responsible for data integrity /database integrity. Adhering to company policies and procedures. Support internal/external audit reviews. Assisting with continuous process improvement initiatives. The role will also be involved with cost coding to departments and projects, as well as regular communication with the Accounts Payable team.
A few other things we're looking for:
Certificate or related qualifications in Accounting or Finance. 2+ years' experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar. Accurate data entry skills. Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong time-management skills. Highest standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and precision. Effective organisational skills. Ability to partner with local, international, and cross-functional teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
