Nature Network Bendigo Region (Nature Network) is an independent, not-for-profit, apolitical community-based organisation.
This newly-formed network has been established to service community environmental and Landcare groups in the Bendigo Region Victoria, with a focus on eastern and southern areas of Bendigo.
Our vision is 'A Landcare Network that is actively supporting groups to restore ecosystems and connect the community to the landscape'.Our Purpose is to 'Protect and enhance our landscape by connecting people with the natural environment, through coordinated and collaborative efforts with our member groups, community and partners'.Nature Network comprises a Board, which is directly responsible for strategic direction and functions of the Network.

Longlea and District LandcareMandurang LandcareNorthern Bendigo LandcareFOSSALS - Friends of Strathfieldsaye Streams and LandsJCAG - Junortoun Community Action GroupFriends of the WhipstickIronbark Gully Friends LandcareWellsford Forest Friends and LandcareCentral Victoria Bat AllianceAbout the positions The Treasurer will play a vital role partnering with the Board to develop a Financial and Risk management framework that enables implementation of the Nature Network's inaugural Strategic Plan.
Generalist Advisors will draw on their industry experience, strengths, and connections to guide the development of the Strategic Plan in alignment with the Nature Network's Blueprint for Action.
The role will support Board members to achieve the objectives and goals within their respective portfolios.
Working closely with the Facilitator and Chair, Generalist Advisors will support change, growth, and the development of an inclusive and agile culture.
These are voluntary positions which sit on our Board.
The roles would suit a collaborative, self-motivated person with strengths in not-for-profit governance, board advisory, management, and strategy implementation.
Experience in the Natural Resource Management (NRM) sector is desired.
Board members are expected to attend a monthly board meeting either online or in person, on the first Monday of each month from 17:30 to 19:30 hrs.
There may be an occasional extraordinary meeting.
These roles will provide a platform to contribute to, and positively impact important environmental and community outcomes for the Greater Bendigo region.
