Role & Responsibilities: Reporting into the Construction Manager you will be responsible for:
Market research on materials, equipment and labour costs, ensuring pricing is competitive in the market, inclusive of service and quality. Request quotations for specific work from contractors, suppliers and trades. Assist in maintaining Scope of Works for trades in the tendering process. Assist in producing and maintaining home specification documents for each house type for all projects. Undertake take offs of new house designs. Generate purchase orders and provide to service providers. Ensure construction documentation is free of anomalies, omissions and errors. Ensure documentation reflects design, purchaser specifications, and standard upgrades. Assist in Quarterly price review updates. Ensure appropriate back charging to suppliers and/or contractors where extra costs can be attributed. Attend monthly project cost report review meeting. Assist in the preparation of documentation for Building Permits and to manage the building permit process. Assist in managing the standard set of construction drawings and revisions. Your Background: Have 12-18 months experience working as a Junior Estimator in commercial/residential construction. You will come from either a construction trade or degree qualified background. Experience pricing new homes / clubhouse projects is essential. Live environment project experience is advantageous. An adaptable, resilient and team focused work ethic is essential. Skills using Data Build, SharePoint, and MS Office is highly regarded.
