Blueline is seeking a Production Supervisor to join the New Town team on a permanent, full-time basis.
About The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager (OM), the Production Supervisor (PS) assists to lead a large and diverse team to provide day-to-day operations of the factory, fostering a performance-based work environment for all staff, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and learning.
Working closely with others, your key accountabilities will be (but not limited to):
Ensure all linen is processed in accordance with AS4146 and ISO 9001;Collaborate with other Production Supervisors at the site to ensure efficient, successful, and safe operation of the factory and distribution of linen;Manage daily transport operations and provide supervision and direction to drivers;Conduct regular inventory control and stocktake of customer sites;Oversee all machinery and equipment (including vehicles) to ensure they are maintained and functioning to the highest standard, coordinating with the maintenance team to report and rectify any faults or breakdowns in a timely manner;Assist with regular process reviews of plant management, equipment, and resources to deliver the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, and service delivery;Work with OM and Leadership Team to develop, implement, and maintain continuous improvement opportunities in team meetings at both site and state-wide level;Accurately record and report all production details as required (daily / weekly / monthly) for production sheets, time sheets, and work employee rosters;Work with OM to develop rosters that provide an efficient and balanced workforce;Ensure compliance with the Blueline Safety Management Systems.What You Bring You will have a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism, with a good knowledge of Laundry or other Manufacturing Operations industries.
Key Skills and Attributes: Lean manufacturing experience is highly desirable;High level of written and verbal communication skills;Proven skills in conflict resolution and negotiation;The ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment;Ability to plan and manage work activities, often with competing deadlines, and be flexible and adaptable in changing plans to suit stakeholders and business needs;Experience in process manufacturing, commercial production, or similar industry at a supervisory level;Warehousing distribution and logistics experience is highly desirable;Hold a manual driver's license, ideally with MR truck class, and hold a Forklift License;Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Benefits Blueline is a recognised Employer of Choice in Tasmania.
