Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator Blue Mountains Grammar School (BMGS) is a co-educational Christian School in the Anglican tradition for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. BMGS is seeking a motivatedOut of School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator to lead the OSHC program at our Springwood Junior School campus. This permanent part-time position is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. As OSHC Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the service, including planning and delivering a high-quality educational program, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Employment Overview Permanent Part-Time (25 hours per week) Based at BMGS Springwood Junior School campus Preferred start date: 27th Jan 2025 Salary in accordance with the MEA Key Responsibilities Develop and implement an engaging OSHC program that reflects the School's values and educational standards; Plan and deliver a stimulating daily program that provides positive learning experiences for all children; Provide individual attention and support to children, fostering their social and emotional development; Ensure a safe, healthy, and clean indoor and outdoor environment for children; Work collaboratively with staff to ensure smooth operation of the service in line with policies and procedures; Maintain accurate records of children's development and plan for ongoing development opportunities; Liaise with parents and carers to communicate children's progress and activities; Perform administrative tasks, including managing attendance, OSHC fees, and resources, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations; About You Previous experience in an educational or childcare setting, ideally within an OSHC or similar program; Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, staff, and families; Current first aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis certificates; A current NSW Working With Children Check; Full Australian work rights.
