The Role Global Ecosystem Sales is one of the core growth engines for Block's Afterpay & Cash App business. We are building the future of fintech advertising through our Commerce Media Network, Ads, & Affiliates payments businesses.
We are looking for an accomplished professional with Commerce Media Networks and Advertising to lead our Australia / New Zealand business. You will own the strategy which will transform our approach to advertising across the Afterpay Media Network. The ideal candidate has experience in Media Network / Affiliate Marketing / Media Sales, Partnership Building, Cross-Functional engagement, and partnering with executives. You'll report into the Head of the Global Ecosystem Sales organization and partner closely with Block's Enterprise leadership team.
You will establish the processes to support the ANZ ads business, along with driving sales to lead our growth in the ANZ market. You will have a great deal of collaboration and partnership with global sales, account management, marketing, and product teams. We require a high level of ownership, creativity, and a desire to meet complex, changing requirements.
You Will Lead the sales strategy to expand the Afterpay Media Network Articulate the Afterpay Media Network advertising value proposition to secure partner commitments to enter mutually beneficial & sustainable partnerships Drive success to achieve and exceed revenue targets Cultivate relationships with leading players and decision makers at potential partner companies & agencies across industries Structure partnerships across programmatic, social, video, and strategic commerce verticals that lead to increased advertising revenue Create and own strategies for partner onboarding, activation, and revenue optimisation with retail partners at scale Identify and develop relationships with cross-functional colleagues to bring these partnerships to life and drive towards forecasted goals. Stakeholders include product, engineering, finance, marketing, operations, and legal Provide product feedback, support product launches, and grow partner relationship Lead relationships with existing sales and marketing teams across our organisation to drive partner success Grow and develop the ANZ ads sales team You Have 12+ years experience in a partnership and revenue driving teams and team management Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, with a preference for Retail or Commerce Media Network Experience Strong understanding of agency ecosystem and relationships A history of deal-making experience - product/revenue/first-of-kind partnership contracts Proven track record of working with early-stage internal teams to establish and articulate partnership value Ability to develop strong relationships and inspire + engage executives (VP+), both internal and externally Proactive, curious individual who is full of grit and loves to find solutions to problems, rather than avoiding them Understand analytical and quantitative levers used by our merchants and prospects You like to keep it real with your actions, be brave with your decisions, do the right thing for all teams and shape the future with excitement We're working to build a more inclusive economy where our customers have equal access to opportunity, and we strive to live by these same values in building our workplace.
