Job Overview
As a Lead Researcher at Bjak, you will play a critical role in advancing our understanding of the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency landscape by leading in-depth research and analysis on blockchain technology, digital assets, decentralized finance (DeFi), and other emerging trends within the crypto space. Your insights will significantly influence strategic decisions, product development, and market positioning. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business leaders, ensuring that our offerings remain aligned with the latest industry developments. The ideal candidate is a passionate expert in blockchain technology, possesses strong leadership and analytical skills, and is dedicated to staying at the forefront of industry trends.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on blockchain technologies, trends, and their impact on the financial services sector.
Develop and publish in-depth research reports that provide unique insights and actionable recommendations.
Formulate original theses on blockchain trends and technologies, using these as the foundation for your research.
Stay abreast of key developments in the blockchain space, with the ability to produce timely reports as needed.
Engage with industry stakeholders, including investors, developers, and other professionals, to gather insights and validate research findings.
Collaborate with the broader research team to ensure alignment and coherence in research outputs.
Represent the company at industry events and on social media platforms, enhancing the company's visibility and reputation in the blockchain community.
Minimum Requirements
Solid experience in blockchain research.
Proven track record of producing high-quality research reports and analysis.
Strong understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and distributed ledger technologies.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Ability to synthesize a wide range of data and insights into a coherent framework that facilitates in-depth understanding of blockchain technologies.
Resourceful, curious, and able to think critically and independently.
Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with blockchain metrics and data sources.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of SQL and Python for data extraction and analysis.
Experience in conducting valuations and financial analysis within the blockchain space.
Familiarity with the landscape for blockchain and cryptocurrencies worldwide.
