The position of Assistant Bistro, Café and Functions Manager represents an excellent career opportunity within a great family culture.The successful applicant will report directly to our Restaurant Manager and work closely with other department heads in the general day-to-day running of the floor. They will be proficient with the regular duties of food and drinks service and also assist in managing small, medium, and large functions.Daily Duties:Opening and closing proceduresManage bookings for functionsGeneral running of the floor areaRestocking of bars, food displays, plates, and cutleriesAssisting in rostering of food and beverage team shiftsTaking customers' requests for food and drink orders, booking requests, and any other special needsAssist in planning, including bookings, staffing levels, and coordination of service for bookings and eventsWork Experience and Qualifications:At least 2 years of recent and relevant experience in similar hospitality rolesPreferred to have an AQF Diploma level qualification in HospitalityKnowledge of products such as food and drinksStrong communication skills with staff and customersAbility to problem solvePassionate about your roleGood computer and POS skillsFood & Beverage Certificates preferred but not essentialFood safety certificates preferred but not essentialRSA and RP qualificationsProven history in the hospitality industry (restaurants, café, functions/banquet operations)Logical thinker and problem solverAccountableFollow State Legislated Alcohol LawsTeam player with a positive attitudeProven ability to train and guide a teamPresentableAdditional Information:Prepared to work all shifts including weekends and public holidays.What We Offer:An enticing salary package.A great positive family culture.On-the-job and regular training.Future career growth and development with stage 2 and 3 of the Hotel redevelopment.A place to grow, learn, and be known.We look forward to you joining our team, so get on board with your application today.
