Full Time, Permanent Contract 76 hours per fortnight Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
The NHW Biomedical Engineering department provides a hospital-wide support service to clinical departments through device asset life-cycle management.
NHW is looking for a disciplined and energetic self-starter to join the Biomedical Engineering team and work with leading clinical technologies used to deliver quality patient experiences and outcomes, whilst building strong professional relationships, working alongside respected healthcare leaders and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have experience working with clinical, or associated, technologies and be able to demonstrate strong time management skills to meet the high service level requirements that come with working in a crucial technical support service.
The primary role of the Biomedical Engineering Technician is to support healthcare delivery by performing preventative maintenance and repairs of clinical equipment as well as compliance testing of patient areas in accordance with relevant Australian Standard and maintaining accurate work reports.
The Biomedical Engineering Technician will work closely with the Biomedical Engineering Manager as well as complementary support services including Facilities and Maintenance, ICT and Supply department.
