Job Summary:
The RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) Division Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the RDF production and distribution process within the company.
This role ensures efficient, sustainable, and safe operations while meeting production targets and adhering to environmental compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in waste-to-energy operations, team leadership, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to the production of RDF, including procurement, sorting, processing, and quality assurance.
Optimize the performance of RDF production facilities to meet operational targets and maximize output.
Ensure efficient utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
Safety and Compliance: Develop and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across RDF operations.
Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international waste management and renewable energy regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor the RDF division team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Manage staffing levels to meet operational needs and support long-term organizational goals.
Performance and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with company objectives.
Prepare detailed reports on RDF production, costs, environmental performance, and other relevant metrics for senior management.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste recovery to improve RDF operations.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement innovative technologies and practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage the delivery of raw materials and distribution of RDF to customers.
Engage with regulatory agencies, contractors, and partners to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
Job Requirements Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
(Master's degree preferred.)
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in RDF production, waste-to-energy, or bioenergy operations.
Proven track record of managing teams and operations in an industrial setting.
Experience with compliance standards in waste management and renewable energy.
Skills:
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
In-depth knowledge of RDF production technologies, equipment, and processes.
Excellent understanding of safety and environmental compliance requirements.
Proficiency in operational management software and data analysis tools.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in both office and industrial environments, with frequent exposure to production facilities.
Requires the ability to manage high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.
