Biochar Machine Operator

With 12,000 hectares of orchards across 11 farms in Sunraysia and the largest almond hulling and processing plant of its kind in the southern hemisphere, our clients are excited to start production with the new state-of-the-art facility, which utilises cutting-edge technology to convert organic waste into a valuable soil amendment called Biochar. About the Role: As a Biochar Machine Operator, you will be focused on the production of the highest quality biochar. Our Biochar Machine Operator will maintain biochar production and quality by ensuring year-round operation of our biochar manufacturing equipment. This unique opportunity, located in Carwarp, Victoria, 30 minutes outside of Mildura, will see you working year-round on a 24/7 roster, 7 days on / 3 days off, 7 nights on / 4 days off with overtime and penalty benefits where applicable.  Responsibilities:Set up and operate Biochar and bagging machines to display accurate code, dates, and weight.Reset machines in cases of malfunctions.Manipulate machine controls to ensure minimization of material waste.Attach identification labels to finished items.Check machines to ensure that they are in proper working condition.Reporting all maintenance issues.Record machine settings, temperature, and pressure ratings on machine logs. Qualifications & Experience:Experience and knowledge working with machine operation.Full driver's license.Victorian Forklift License – with strong forklift ability. If you are looking for a rewarding career that makes a difference, are punctual, and have the ability to work with minimal supervision, this position is for you!
